Health and safety

Daily Lazy Lean is a meal-planning tool. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for a doctor, a registered dietitian, or emergency care.

Calorie targets use the Mifflin–St Jeor equation and the activity level you report. They are estimates. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not given a calorie deficit. If your body mass index is under 18.5, or the goal you typed would put it there, the plan stays at maintenance and tells you a deficit is not the right tool.

Recipes list ingredients and USDA nutrient values so you can see the maths. They do not account for every medical condition, medication, or allergy. If you live with diabetes, kidney disease, an eating disorder, or any condition where food targets are prescribed, use this plan only with your clinician.

If food, weight, or eating feels out of control, stop following a calorie target and talk to someone who can help. In the US and Canada, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The National Alliance for Eating Disorders helpline is 888-375-7767 (ANAD). The National Eating Disorders Association has resources at https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/.

A GLP-1 question is not part of this version. If you use a GLP-1 medication, ask the prescriber before you follow any calorie target from a website.
